‘Blindfold’ Custom Lyric Video

Concept and creation of animated lyric video commissioned by Indie Alternative Pop/R&B singer-songwriter Evin Nazya.

As the singer reached out and allowed me an exclusive first listen to her then-unreleased song ‘Blindfold’ (now live on all platforms), I instantly knew this was a project I wanted to take on. I felt an extreme serenity and nostalgia listening to it. I adore collaborating with musical artists, for their ability to provide their listeners with an auditory adventure to enjoy. I aimed to extend that adventure through visuals, not solely through text. This song in particular made me think about nature and creating DIY crafts growing up. Using Adobe After Effects I focused on bringing together those concepts and the emotions felt during my listening sessions. By animating sheets of construction paper layered over one another to reveal the song's melodious verses, and incorporating light-hearted elements that support its ethereal nature, I achieved my client's vision perfectly.
